Marketer's obligations

The new LPG regulations have placed new obligations onto oil marketers:
To ensure all cylinders have standard identification features
- Cylinder brand
- Serial number of each cylinder
- Manufacturing date – the cylinder should be revalidated every eight years
- Net weight in KG of the cylinder
The relevant licensing fees are now:
To meet the transition requirements from 25th June 2019
To meet the annual increment cylinder target
To obtain a business operating license from EPRA before commencing operations
To declare LPG import quantities
To notify EPRA within eight days of any accident, of:
To obtain valid licenses from EPRA in order to import, or bulk transport LPG
To maintain stock at all designated cylinder return points
To refund customers’ deposit on return of the brand’s cylinder
To facilitate liability through inventory control and tracking
To ensure the safety of their own cylinders
To maintain a list of their authorised filling agents, wholesalers, and retailers
