Industry data
As part of its core mandate, the Petroleum Institute of East Africa (PIEA) is committed to providing industry stakeholders and policy makers with reliable statistical data and insightful literature. In line with this objective, PIEA continues to disseminate key information through the Petroleum Insight (PI) Magazine, published quarterly.
Data for the Petroleum Insight is collected and verified by the PIEA Secretariat in collaboration with the Industry Data Verification Committee. This process is conducted in accordance with the Petroleum Act, 2019 and in compliance with the Competition Act, 2010.
To enhance data governance, accuracy, and accessibility, the PIEA Board has approved the digitization of our data collation and reporting systems.

A nominal fee will apply for access to detailed data sets that go beyond what is published in the quarterly Petroleum Insight magazine. This is part of a Board-approved resolution to ensure the sustainability of the data unit.
